Drag Reducing Agent (DRA):

Drag Reducing Agent reduces the turbulence-induced drag in the pipeline of the crude oil mass. This decreases pressure in the pipeline resulting in a higher flow stream at the same pressure.

ONYFLOW® drag-reducing agents are engineered to:

  1. Flow oil more efficiently and be pumped through at lower pressures, saving energy and cost.
  2. Reduces pipeline frictional losses/pressure drop to increase pipeline flow rate and/or decrease pipeline operating pressure.
  • Reduces frictional pressure within the flow of a pipeline or conduit.
  • Act as buffers along the pipe wall.
  • Reduces drag, lower back-pressure, and improves flow in crude oil pipelines.
